I wonder if Tyler or Doug felt this one? Jim

Prayers for a happy and blessed day.

I pray that all of us have a peaceful and happy experience on what is arguably the most holy day on the Christian calendar. On this day of resurrection, and Spring's promise of renewal, I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of you. Jim

Report on Spinning on the Wind by Shirley Jennings

A very well spent $4.00 for the Kindle edition. I believe it compares very favorably with A Dream of Flight by Igor Bensen. Although the early portions of the book seem to indicate a big picture look at early gyroplane development in the UK, it quickly settles down to describe, in some detail...

    Polish aircraft

Mr. Markovsky, Do you happen to know if Aero SP is still doing business in Warsaw? I have one of their AT-4 airplanes but have not been able to contact the factory in quite a while. Jim

    Fuel pump usage

Both my aircraft use the Rotax 912 ULS. The POH for my Gobosh only requires the electric fuel pump for takeoff and landing. The POH for my TAG implies the electric fuel pump is left on until after landing. What do you folks do? Jim

    Brief flight report

Thought I would post a short update on my current gyroplane adventure. I only have a couple of hours in the machine, but I sure do like it so far. As I have told some of you, when I decided to get back into gyros after a long absence, I looked at the characteristics of many different machines...

    Flycom problem

I was attempting to fly my new to me TAG Titanium explorer this morning. I was using the Flycom helmet that Carl Potter included in the sale. Carl successfully used the helmets for years. I tried both helmets. Reception seems to work well. When I attempted to contact Ground, the controller...

    Goldsberry Brantley B2B

I see both of Gary's B2Bs are for sale on Barn Stormers. Someone will get a good deal on either. Although I have had love affairs with many aircraft, the Brantley holds a special place in my memory. They are delightful. Plenty of power and very smooth. The back story on how they came to be...

    Aircraft registration numbers

I was looking at aircraft pictures recently. I saw several aircraft, that I thought were in Australia. They had registration numbers with a "G" prefix. I thought "VH" was an Australian aircraft registration prefix and "G" was UK. Just curious. Jim

    TAG flying the gorge

I seldom like the music accompanying video, but this is an exception. An older video, but looks great! This TAG web site, https://www.tagaviation.com.au/video-library has videos of Chris Toevs flying that are pretty darn neat. I'm comfortable that my cojones are not up to flying the gorge...

    Bill Whitehouse gyro

I see Bill Whitehouse's AR-1 is listed on Barnstormers at a good price. It looks like the aircraft is adequately equipped although there is no mention of an ADSB. It has a 443 hour 912 ULS in a 180-hour airframe. I really like the AR-1 but, I've already made an offer on another gyro that has...

    Category and class certificates

Hi Dave, When I saw the videos of your aircraft flying at Air Venture, I was curious about the AWC and the rules you were operating under. I see that N72SX is an EAB aircraft. I also see that you hold an ASEL pilot certificate. Are you operating under 61.31 (d)(2) or 61.31 (l)(2)? The...

    Stick shake video

I have a request of forum members. Could some of you please post videos of your stick and airframe in flight? Videos of the stick at both pilot stations would be great. I would like to know if my expectations vis-a-vis stick shake and airframe shake, are reasonable. Although I fully...
