Ok, I've been searching for the last hour for something that I'm sure has been discussed many times before, but I can't find what I'm looking for.

I know the tetter angle should be around 8-9° but what should hinge angle be?

Does any one have links for these discussions here on the forum?

Jeremy: By "hinge angle" do you mean the tilt range of the head (fore-aft and side-to-side)? If so, the rule of thumb is 10 deg each side of neutral (20 total).

Some manufacturers vary these specs a bit, often adding a couple degrees aft tilt. You need to watch rotor clearance in back, though.

Yes thanks Doug that was what I was looking for. Just trying to work out my VS & rudder height. If I allow for 20° aft plus rotor sag I should be safe.
