Hiller Rotorcycle YROE-1

You can see one in person at the Hiller Aviation Museum, at the San Carlos, California, airport (KSQL). A very clever design for the time in my opinion.

Oops - just realized you might be in Belgium, so the trip would be long!

To WaspAir,

Thanks, I know that.
No problem.
Its new design is the Minimax, see You Tube

If you have specific questions, the Museum may be able to answer them for you.

I don't know if it's correct to bring back to life this thread that has been stuck for several months, however the Minimax was revived by Avsun Aerotechnic , a French company that dealt with technical analysis of materials, which closed down in 2016.... I think they created just one device and I don't think they then threw the whole project in the bin.... even if I don't know from direct experience..... search online to see that the references of this company are still present even if the group is out of order . Having said that, it's a very interesting project...... The origin was the Hiller helicopter.... lots of stuff!

I hope I have been helpful to you in some way....

Hallo,
Sorry for my written English.
What you wrote to me is not new, but thank you anyway.
I know mr.Pascal Bernuchon from Avsun.
Het told me he build the Minimax for a Japanese Business man.
My question was about something new about the Hiller Rotorcycle I did not knew.
I could buy a Rotorcycle nr. 6 and all blue prints en jigs and fixtures from an American friend
who was a friend of Stanley Hiller Junior.
But at that moment I did not had the recourses to buy !!!
I have the spare parts and maintenance manual as well as the pilot manual of the Rotorcycle.
I know someone who has a Rotorcycle in Europe.
Someone interested ? ..... I am to old to realize my dream.
