KEN BROCK FREEDOM FLY-IN 2009
I’ like to Thank all Chapter One members especially Marion for making Thursday dinner for all the people on the lake. It was excellent.
Loni and her husband Amer also helped Marion with the dinner by making food.
Thank You goes to our secretary Karen for keeping an eye on the whole operation.
Ron for lifting all the heavy stuff and Jeff for helping every time we asked him for help.
Also thanks to everyone who attended the Ken Brock Freedom Fly-In 2009.
We had an excellent Friday evening bbq dinner, steak, beans, salad and potatoes cooked and donated by Brandon one of our members.
After dinner we went to Ken Brock’s for a corn roast and Saturday evening we had a bbq and award ceremony at Brock’s.
Guests and gyro pilots came from Washington, Wyoming, three members from Chapter 2 came from Utah, Las Vegas, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and California.
Late Saturday afternoon we did loose one of our gyro buddies Mike Schullmann (Mad Man Mike) in a motorcycle accident.
At the award ceremony we had a moment of silence in honor of Mike and then some of his friends talked about different experiences and conversations they had with Mike over the years. Mike will be missed by everyone.
Chapter One members are already planning for their 2010 fly-in and hope to see all of you again next year.
