Hi Tina,

Sorry that I missed you. When my wife and I drove in, I saw the Cherokee parked at the south end by didn't put the connection in my brain that it was yours.

When my friend Dan arrived on the lakebed, he told me that he spoke with you on the phone on how to get there (after I e-mailed him the directions ha ha ha). I then went over and spoke with Dave and he said that you already been there and left for work. Too bad, I wanted to say hello again.

Hi Wayne, sorry I missed you at the fly-In. Dave and I are still talking about going to the Wings, Rotors and Wheels show. Dave may not be able to because of work.

Tina, the photo in post # 37 is much better. As for the fly-in next year Britta and I plan on getting some practice in flying together so we can get it down just right. I hope your work schedule will allow you to join us in the practice .

Yes they where using the glider and Dave got to go for a flight. I wish I had more time I would have gone for a ride myself, I never did that before and would have loved to take video of that to share.

Did anyone get photos of the guy with the Bell 47 dancing with the cones on the lake bed? looked liked the pilot had some great skills..

I am not sure if anyone did. Not sure if any video was taken of the fly-in. Maybe some one can chime in and lets us know if any video was taken?

Ron, It's easy to see why you are the top poster, always chiming in whether you know the facts, history, etc. or not.

And yeah, I live in the desert because of the beauty , peace , quiet and serenity of the area. I am glad you don't live near me for I don't think I could stand all your idle chatter !

As for my reply to Tina, did you happen to notice that I invited her to fly her gyro with Britta and me at next years fly-in ? If there were major problems between us I would not have done that. I don't invite just anyone to fly with me...you didn't get an invitation, did you ?

I agree, Ron is sometimes a bit over the top, but usually entertaining.
Not like that other guy with diarrhea of the mouse.
That one is #1 poster with nothing to say, boy, I wish he could just shut up.

EL Mirage Fly-in

Hi every body
Just get back from El Mirage last night tired but happy.
I am building hangar at my place and I was puring concrete slab .
Hope next Fly -in my gyro going to be in my new hangar
Tina. Thank You for open up and give me a hug for peace. I except this two finger on my head as a peace sigh for the future. Marion miss understand . I was more surprise then hurt. But it is over and is no reason go back and drag this for ever.
I Like to thank every body I have a chance to talk for kind words to me.
I think this time I don't make no body mad or upset , if I do I apologia's.
Also forgive me for my spelling ,English is my second language and I still learning.
I take lot of pictures but you people bit me to it wit this wonderful pictures be posted on this Forum

Hi Teddy!!! I will you guys were having way too much fun!!

It was great meeting you Teddy!

We both had the same smile ear to ear as you showed me your gyro, way cool!

Enjoyed watching you fly, and Marion was so much fun!

If I can finish all my work before the second sat. of October I'll take Ron's, Joe, Bobby, Tony, offer to come up and see you at the Chapter 1 meeting.

I met new friends from here Scott, Carl, Wayne, Joe, Tony, Ron ... there were more. Also I can't remember their handles here until I see them post!

I will have built a gyro by them and Tina bringing hers so that will be two more at least!

Thanks guys and gals it was short but sweet!!!

Next year (I can't wait) I hope more of you will make the adventure and come to the party!!!

Humm, I would have liked to had a ride in that glider.

Yep, the glider is still a lot of fun to fly while learning. You'd be surprised at what you can do with 5-600 ft. of rope and about a 1 1/2 mile length of elevated road or strip and no obstructions.

I endorse all newbies to have at least 8-10 hrs of glider time; if only to learn rotor control sans throttle control at the same time. Become proficient in the glider and then move on to the powered machines.

Sorry Tim .I miss you question. No no runway . But I have plan use my property road . Look narrow from the air but is manageable to land on.
Also next think is a helicopter. Will see .
