Gov. Sarah Palin

We're arguing in circles. From 9/9, for Waspair:

"Senator McCain has picked a running mate that will help him in his quest to win the election. He needed a woman to get the disaffected Hillary mob, and an archconservative to win back his own base since he's been heading for the middle to pick up the moderates lately. The selection gives him a better chance to win.
It does not, however, give the country a viable backup in case he becomes unable to serve. "

What scares me is that I;ve read reports that Mac has cancer. Its in remission now; the report I read gives him a %60 chance that the cancer will return within the next four years; that leaves Palon to rule. not only that but the guys 72; take it from one that has been there; things begin to slow down at that age. He may be in good health now----what about 1;2;3;4 years from now?

My point was a little different, and not actually directed to her "viability" as a backup. The question in the post I was answering was how will foreign leaders react when they must deal with her; my comment was intended to indicate that they won't be dealing with her at all.

There is a famous quote from Cactus Jack Garner, one of FDR's v.p.'s, that the vice presidency is "not worth a bucket of warm piss." If that's already shown up on this thread, I apologize for the redundancy.

We will have gone from one extreme to the other for the v.p. role - from Cheney pulling strings behind the scenes to Palin merely dangling from hers.

Great statement, cracked me up... but I think she Rocks, stolen from LuftCarl...

I have a 64.3% chance of getting hit by an idiot on my commute home.
I have a 100% chance there will be multiple idiots on my commute home.

You would think I would have been hit by now, but I haven't.

See where I'm going here?

Most are not as concerned with Shara becoming president as you are. She seems to have an abundance of common sense. Her record with the city council, Mayor and Governor prove this to most citizens with an open mind.
Most of us would trade any politician for any normal citizen with common sense.

Obama couldn't pick Hillary. With only him standing between her becomming the president he would've been a gonner for sure.

Now that's funny Tim!!!!!
I'm still laughing.

I am not into politics..and hate the subject. I have voted both sides...and refuse to be pigeon holed as a republican or democrat.

I go by my gut instincts on the candidates integrity as a person...and if I think they can delegate out tasks they cant handle.

Personally, from being in Illinois and seeing more of Obamas flip flops than what is nationally broadcasted....I have MUCH more confidence in Sarah Palin taking over on Jan. 20th that Obama.

Dont even get me started why....it has nothing with his race...gender...or party affiliation.....but his integrity and wishy washiness.

I may be wrong...but I feel its going to be a landslide victory for McCain/Palin

Palin rides a broom

Palin rides a broom

What might appear to be common sense coming from Palin is just typical Karl Rovian snipping and back stabbing. Palin is a bible-thumping bigot, who wants all of us to have to knuckle under to her crackpot brand of religion. In the podunkville in Alaska she came from, she hired her high-school friends and fired anyone who disagreed with her. She was governor of a whole state eh? One of the few states with fewer people than tiny Delaware.

She needs to get on her broom and fly home. McCain is too damned stupid to be president - he's an aged George Bush. Got to Barackobama.com and look up his plans and policies - you'll get an education.

Wow, very harsh digbar and actually sounds like you may be more bigoted than anything I’ve heard or seen Plain do so far.

Lets check your facts:
1) O’bama attended church more often than Plain so I guess he is more of a bible-thumper than Plain so by your definition he must be a bigot also? So I suppose to be true to your beliefs you won’t be able to vote for him either?
2) There is any army of Dem's investigators and they have not found any proof of the accusations you’re making or of firing ANYONE for just disagreeing with her. (But maybe we will all know if this is true, but so far NO!
3) Karl Rove is not advising or participating in this election he retired from politics so they are not Karl Rove snippets.
4) She was governor of a small state yes, but the republicans said the same thing about Bill Clinton only being a governor of a very small state also (he did just fine with the same experience). Most of us think the republican comments were foolish regarding Clinton only being a governor of a small state then and now I suspect most thinks the same regarding your comments!

5) What policy of Baracks’ is you favorite economic policy that will actually help our economy from the site you posted? I looked and can’t find anything that will help our country but the tax increases will hurt us very much!

What?!!!
As Joe Biden just said this morning that we owe John McCain a great deal of respect for not only serving his country but for his heroism while serving. He also said I know John McCain and I know he wants to do the right thing for America … he also said O’bama would be a better choice although his reasons from then on were very bias and also weak at least form an independents point of view. I’m sure all the Dem’s agreed with him!

Is that all you know of McCain’s experience and service to our country since the war, that was over 35 years ago?

He ( Mac) keeps repeating it; and repeating it; and repeating it. ( I was a prisioner of war for five years)
Its a proven fact, if a story is repeated enough, thats all you;ll remember.
Didn;t he say thats why he doesn;t know how to operate a computer ?
Because he was a prisioner of war for five years.
Please don;t tell me he didn;t say that.:der:

She fired those that disagreed with her and hired all her friends? OK, let's say for argument's sake that is true. You must hate all politicians then, because they all do that. I guess you're not gonna vote for anyone.

Firing a librarian for not allowing her to ban books and a police officer because he wouldn't fire her ex brother in law is an abuse of power and smacks of a vicious political autocrat in the likes of Karl Rove or Dick cheney.

Now comes all the mealy mouthed excuses, armchair defense attorneys, and spin doctors trying to put lipstick on a pig.

I listen to both sides-----then; vote for the better of the two. Politicians all bend the truth.
Do you know that you can go to college to become a politican ?
(learn to lie as a profession).
Politicians and car salesmen; whom would I trust ?
my answer------neither.
but we need both; so whats a person to do?
You go with one, and hope you have made the right decision.
Cars or elections either one; you pays your money and hope youve made the right decision.:yo:

He cannot raise his arms the proper height to operate a computer. The gooks saw to that the way they had him tied up with his arms behind him. I rather believe that if it would have been you there instead of him I would believe that you would have cut and run,not caring if it was your turn to leave or not. You don,t sound as if you have the guts of a fishing worm to me.

Liken the old line..."Where's the beef?"

To this one..."Where's the proof?"

Cheers :)

Does he repeatedly say this or is that your take on it?

I wasn't a POW and I still don't know to operate the 'puter, much.

Cheers :)
