I wanted to get some night flight time in and I felt a need to practice some engine outs since I have not done so for months.

All went well. You do have to practice to stay sharp, no matter how many hours you have.

Remember: Flair height can look off because your sense of depth perception changes at night. And that the vampires fly those Cessna's with the push-pull twin engines....

Well, I guess I still can't take pictures at night.

Some day I will get some astronomy CCD's, a light bucket lens and active stabilization... but for now all I got for ya is this:

I love the view at night!

OK Tim some of those look like your camera was clearly on LSD!

Can't practice enough! Especially emergency procedures and spot landings.

How the IFR going? I miss the posts.

Thanks John!

Some more IFR tomorrow!

I like the light worms.

I agree night photography is an art unto itself.

The runway swirling lines in the 5th pic kind of give you an idea of HOW your gyro is shaking. You have somewhat cirular lines being painted in light by the runway lights etc. Very cool pic. I think that would be my new desktop background pic if I were you Tim...

I love to fly at night. If you have trouble and need to land, look to the lighter spots because the dark spots are probally trees or something else you don't want to land on. Also, you can turn your landing light on, if you don't like what you see, then turn it off!
