I recently installed the upgrade kit for my crankshaft support. The pictures should tell more than I. Anyway...that new much beefier bearing can have both inside and outside seals visually inspected....and four bolts removes the bearing holder for a very quick replacement at 200 hours. Such a neat and simple setup and much superior to the old ..hidden out of view bearings.

You can see the preload bolts that arent safety wired when I took the picture. The angled brackets coming off the PSRU plate are much stiffer. Groen Bros. did a classy job on this upgrade.

The second picture shows the new bearing compared to the one I took out. By the way...the one I took out had 120 hours on it and it looked and felt like new. I just like better....better.:whoo:

With my 180 horses back there....I needed this.

Stan:

Will this bearing support work on any 2.5 liter Subaru? It looks like it might be a good idea for my engine. Let me know,

Bob: I doubt it. The angled side brackets probably have different holes to bolt to the PSRU plate. Then....I would also guess that the distance projected back would not line up as well as this was all made for a SH redrive.
