I had a short day at work, some business at the bank, then went to fly for a while.

I'm another year older today and was feeling a little slugish after sweating a half gallon of gatorade out by 11:00am. Got to the strip and the Bahiagrass was calf high, temp close to 100*, no wind. When I got lined up with the runway I decided to spin up my blades from the seat, to see how lazy I could be. I've never tried that before, It worked! I used up a LOT of runway, I think the guy that owns the house across the street from the end of the runway is going to paint his roof ORANGE.

All totaled the flight was very relaxing, not much out and about in 100* temps.

Phil.

Thanks Phil. If you fly in those temps, you'll need to take the pod off and let the wind blow up your shorts!

Happy Birthday Phil :peace:

Thanks guys.

Jimmy, Rick and Bart have been scooting around some. You may want to meet them in Sebring, if you guys can set it up. Otherwise, I'll let you know the next time I go mow our place. I'd like to get you out that way, so you at least know where it's at.

Phil.

Happy Birthday... and dont worry here in Baghdad, Iraq we still in the 130F and is not looking like going down.
By the way I dont own a Gyro yet, hopefully will get a SH by June next year as soon I finish here but, I got about other 6 people here that want to join me in the adventure and purchase a gyro. We was 7 but Jake the number 7 went ahead of us and purchase a Hummingbird 260L Hilo... I read how much fun you guys have that I cant wait to get my gyro and hopefully fly with all you guys one of this days...

Good luck, and enjoy the weather....

The prop on my trike had been mowing grass when I bought it. And it showed at the tips. Anyway happy birthday.

giro5, yep, the seeds eat the leading edge. A little prop maintenance once in a while goes a long way. I think the prop on your gyro mowed some grass too. If I remember correct, it was on my Mac a while back.

Hay Phil can we call ya old man now and what did you get for the big day, yaknow, yaknow. Happy Birthday my friend soak it up for all it's worth.

My birthday was yesterday, I didn't get to take off and go flying.... I went out and cut 18 lawns by myself in 100+ degree heat. I will make up for it this weekend.
