Well I sat down with my log book to total up this weeks time and...

107.8 hours N-Numbered gyro time! :D

Yea!

I put over a hundred hours in ultralight gyros but I only logged 80 because there was no reason to once I got my private. The FAA does not care about UL time and I no longer want to become a BFI or need time for sport pilot stuff.

I have about 12-13 hours FW time.

And now at last I have over a hundred hours logged time in N-numbered gyros.

Is this the stage where I have to worry about being over confident?

All of the N-numbered time has been in 2-place machines.

congrat!!!!

Once you start getting use to logging time you will see all of the accomplishemnt more clearly and will make you go for more. I see you buying soon alog softwrae to keep up with the hours.

In the world outside of the gyro's whenyou dont have a license or hours log they think you are not a pilot. Now you can sholved to the people that gave you negative coments about the gyroplanes.

ps. got 100mph today will post it later.

I am about to break 500 hours logged N number time myself, about 150 of that is in gyros. It is a shame that for me I flew for years in Rebel mode as I probably could have 3 times the total hours logged and most likely over 500 just in gyros logged.

I still have my first log book with my ultralight time in it. I logged all my time for the first 2-3 years. I never added it all up but it is somewhere around 300 hours. Useless now except for a fun read - comments like " Oh crap the wind was blowing today, almost wet my pants! " or Had a great time today flying to this or that fly-in etc....

Ron it is your fault. Went to the jail this AM to bond a young Black Female out of jail. She was arrested at 4:30 AM and told the jailers she needed to go to the bath room. She continued to tell them until she couldn't hold it any longer. When she wet her pants they charged her with two counts of Disorderly Conduct. WOW What a charge. They threw the book at her. Over 1700 dollars in fines. Seems her Mother is the Hot Check Coordinator for the county. Bet ya a Dollar she has all of the charges dropped.

Over confidence is like a snake that sneaks up on you and when you least expect it, ZAP. ALWAYS be aware that ol' "over confidence" is lurking out there somewhere.

Congrats Tim,
As long as you are concerned about being overconfident, all is well.

Tell me Mr.Tim, Did it take forever or seem like it took forever now looking back, I need to know what to look forward to.

Damn its not hard to book 10 hrs per day when we're flying hard,, but that dont happen all the time though, unfortunately

Bones It could take as little as 10 days to get the same 10 hours you are talking about. That is a lot of hours around here. 100 hours could take more than a year. See what I mean. That would be 2 hours a week.

Well my ultralight time added up quickly once I soloed.

My N-numbered time has been a challange because for a long time I kept my 2-place gyroplane at a hangar 3 hours (one way) away at the club hangar where I built her.

Then only a few months after I had her home a weld in the nosegear failed and I totaled the machine. I was then unable to build time until this May when I purchased by Twinstarr. I was also unable to fly for about three weeks when I replaced my blades.

Since then I have flown about 2 or 3 hours a week. I logged about 14 hours the week of Mentone.

Ten hours per day? I wish I could fly that much! I have to work during the week and on the weekend I can't always devote both days to flying all day.

You must really build up the time!
