Hi can anyone help with getting my gyro helicopter up and running last used 1986" it has a VW engine
Location in Orpington Kent

Thanks guys
Hey Jim, Are you still flying Gyro's? I see you live in Avondale, I live in Peoria and am starting my Gyro Journey the beginning of the year. Trying to decide where to take my lessons. California or Nevada, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Greg
Hello Rob: I am in Colorado Springs and wondering if you can put me in touch with any gyro pilots in this area? I see at one time an active PRA Chapter here in the Springs, but that was about 10 years ago. Looking at gyro training and while I will likely travel out-of-state for training, would be nice to know their are local gyro pilots. Thanks - Tom Wilson

My friend Thomas Fernandez is a long time gyro pilot ..started with a beautiful gyrobee and now flies an MTO17 with 915iS. James Schmidt is also based at same airport (KFLY - meadowlake) ! Sadly the CO PRA chapter folded with the death of the chapter president Mark Shook - when he flew into powerlines ...flying too low along the CO river near Fruita!
Hi again. Do you fly from Hodenhagen?
I'll be visiting a friend in Garbsen tuesday evening.
And I plan on flying to Hodenhagen come spring...
Thank you for the help in finding Christian Heinz.
Cheers

Hi Tilmann.
Thank for the invite.
I am arriving 16.05 today
and will be picked up.
And my bus ticket says I leave
12.30 tomorrow. It doesn't really leave
much time for a visit, unfortunately.
I am planning a flight to Hodenhagen next year. And I hope to use the winter to get an international radio operator license.
I'll need that.
Cheers
Erik

Ok, then we can perhaps meet in Hodenhagen next year. Or at the annual Gyro Fly-in in Denmark.

Hi Tilmann. Problem is, I am by bus. And when arriving around 16.05, someone is meeting me to pick up a machine part I'm selling. So I could have window 16-18, but with transport it doesn't leve much time. Are you at work tomorrow morning? My bus leaves at 12.30, so we could visit you at the flying field - if everyone has time. And I don't know that yet.
Hi mate, I am thinking about trying paramotoring and would like to hear your opinion about them.
I fly most things including hang gliders and trikes but never ventured into floppy wings yet.

Super fun, very portable, as wide open as it gets. Take offs can be annoying as you have a bunch of weight on your back but you can use a trike to take the load off instead of foot launching.

Overall super fun, if you get the more advanced wings they become very small and dynamic making them fun to throw around but very easy to get into trouble with. If something goes wrong it’s gonna be the pilots fault 95% of the time because the aircraft is super easy to fly and you only fly in very calm conditions early morning or late evening unless you’re flying on the beach where conditions are always smooth.
"and the Behemoth bracket that solved my pre-rotater problems." You showed a pic of the new mount.
Did that fix the vibrations? what was the problem you solved? Could you make another mount for me by chance? Mine is pretty loose.

Hi ! I juts saw a video on Youtube.
Do you sell Dominator plans ? What about the Razor Edge blades ?
MikeBoyette

No my father used to manufacture the Dominator line of gyros under the Rotor Flight Dynamics Inc badge. He retired a few years ago and sold the blade business (which brand name Dragon Wings) then the gyro business (Dominator and Dominator 2) I heard tale that someone bought the tooling from man dad sold it to and is now going in business selling his own version.

Brent,
These engines are 150hp + and were used as generators or apu'sby the military. Time is unknown but it was test run when I traded for it
with Avon Aero Turbines of Indianapolis. I think they're in Florida now. Ran well, looks good. I may have it sold but no money yet.

Hey Ron, What would be your engine of choice for a 2 place gyro? Rotax 912 ULS ? Rotax 912 UL with aftermarket upgrades?, Yamaha 3 cyl or 4 cyl? Where would you look and how much would you expect to pay for a good quality Engine? Seen anything that might fit the bill lately?

The Viking website has all thei engine models and weights. They are a little heavy but I love mine and will probably use another one in that 2 seat Vampire prototype project. You coming down in October?😁
