I think, we should sum up all the improvements
since last machines were delivered to US, on top of the new cabin,
faster and with front door hinges:

1. The mast is stronger and thicker, 3 mm instead of 2.3 before.

2. New, in flight adjustable seats.

3. New heating system, maybe not so important in south US,
but for sure better for defogging.
http://www.autogyro.eu/news/heatingsystem231212?lang=en

4. New bigger 32 US gallons (120l) tanks with better tank inlet
http://www.autogyro.eu/news/newtanks100113?lang=en

5. New, aviation type engine cover fixing.

5. New, stronger and easer to maintain rudder fin.

Hi PtKay...

you make a lot of big Waves when it comes to promote Xenon/ Zen1 and all the rest including RST Engines with up to 150 Hp. All his products may be great, still come from Poland, made by cheep Labor low workman skills and high priced to keep up with profit made, like in the west.. Copy some Frenchman Ideas, copy his design, copy his deam and tell him to go awy.. Tell everyone how good the new copy,s are not solving the problem, Fact is......that this CopyCat made in Poland, this time not in China.. My 5 cent to the develoment made..

Steven,

these machines were not made by "cheap labour" or a "frenchman",
but by a dedicated team of high class aviation engineers and craftsman
from Aviation Artur Trendak.

Polish aviation industry has over 100 years of history, with such record-breaking designs
like the the SWIFT1 aerobatic glider or the PW5 World Class glider,
or the Diana2 competition glider.

The Polish composite structure engineering is world leading.

This is no CopyCat, it was always manufactured only and exclusively
by AAT and is now improved by AAT.

The ZEN1 is improved in cooperation with the Institute of Aviation,
their "low workman skills" are confirmed by joint venture with GE,
which established their world research centre at the Institute.

other cooperating partners can be found here:

You just show your ignorance, prejudice and arrogance,
having no clue, what you actually are talking about.

What are you talkign about.

Do you understand that AT and RC were once business partners - they built Xenons in Poland as Celier Aviation from circa 2007 to 2011.

In Dec 2011 this business partnership split - finished.

AT now continues to build gyros at the very same original factory and has made several amends to the build process - these are Type Certified as the Zen1. Your compatriot in QLD imports them.

RC has also set up his own production line and trades as a "new Celier Aviation".

AT delivered approx 25 Zen1s in 2012

RC delivered zero Xenons in 2012.

Hope that helps.

have ppl helicopter, ratings in fixed and flexi wing microlights. Learning to fly gyro's.
QUOTE: Barry, when was your Xenon manufactured?
There were many mods done.
Do you have new, stronger door?

I think the tail can be retrofitted.

I hope Zenon will chime in.

Paul

Hi Paul,

I do not own a Xenon, possibly one day. Really interested to see what they are like. Yep, I know the early ones did have problems with the doors coming off for example so was interested to here from anyone on what to look out for.

Thanks

Barry

AAT made stress tests under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority for a new certificate for ultralight gyro up to 560kg MTOW.

http://www.autogyro.eu/news/stress_tests?lang=en

The beefed up mast and the beefed up landing gear I have mentioned
before are to be seen on the load tested machine.
It looks like all the former issues have been addressed.

The actual tested MTOW is 600 kg.

The load on the hook was 2100 kg. :)

Hi Michał

Thanks for this update and good to see such product development.

I note that this Zen1 has an additional window, is this an "Zen1 XL" cabin or maybe a new cabin specifically for the 560kg model ?

Thank you Paul.
Yes, Steve this is a new cabin, but unfortunately this is all I can say now about it.
We started a procedure of certification our Zen1 with many modifications. We are after firsts attempts. We will put on our website as many news with the next information as we can.

I translated for you the white card, which is placed on the front of the cabin in the photo.
--------
Hanging Attempt

MTOW - 600kg
Factor of safety 1,5 (mast)
Factor of safety 2 (bolt connection)
Mass of the structure - 115kg
Full load - 2100kg
--------

Regards
Michał

I think, this is certain unification and simplification of the old cabin
construction. The flat part with the step, where in the original 2006
Xenon the fuel tanks were positioned, made room for the window.

Even with two seats, it will certainly be much more comfortable
and the visibility will be even better (270deg).

I like this look!
The added window is in a nice spot adding to the light and airiness of the cabin.
Paul, is this body made of Carbon Fiber ?

Also, any on forum comparisons with the Magni M-24?

Thanks All

Are there any plans for heavy duty suspension in the landing gear like Sportcopters and others? I would like to be able to land and take off from rough fields.
Thanks,
Josh

Josh,

the new suspension has been tested with 1495kg load.
By MTOW of 600kg it is about 2,5G drop landing.

It doesn't look nice, but the gear holds. :)

They also did some drop tests.

And of course, tundra tires are available.

This one is glass fibre.
Carbon fibre will be lighter and stronger, but more expensive.
They test the weaker material, if this works, carbon can be only better.

See the other thread, you put this question.

There is hardly any comparison.
The size of the cabin of M24 is a class below Zenon.
The width of the Zenon cabin is grater than Cessna 172!
In M24 they had to off-set the passenger seat against the pilot
to fit both inside.
I do not know your size, but if you are average US, you will hardl
fit into M-24.

Yep try fitting 135 kg student nd 100 kg me in a m24
the xenon was the machine he could fit in,now happily flying nd loving it
