A couple of years ago, Brazil was the second largest debtor, just behind the USA as first.
Today it was announced that Brazil does not owe anything, will lend money to the MIF and is the third in line to receive from the USA, 130 billion dollars.
First is China and second Japan.
USA owes 4.4 tri been 3.3 to foreign countries.
How is that possible?
I guess my former friend that ended our relationship on that joke got his wish: give us back whatever we gave you and leave us alone!
We did! Big Time . . .
This is all a big squeem and you are the sitting ducks.

Enjoy your moment in the sun.

Heron,
why even say that?? That's sh!tstirring at it's finest.

This truly is a "whatever" moment.. Realise that most of the foreign debt is private and not government. You make it sound like the US is lined up to borrow money from a 3rd world country... Get real.. 130 billion is chump change, even for the private sector. The US gave back 270 billion in tax incentives last year and now you're croaning about less than half that money...
This all stems from the fact that when the US buys something made in Brazil, you guys are required to BUY something from us and it's usually bonds or the equivalent. The same with China and Japan.. We'll all see who's standing on top when the US stops buying everyone elses sh!t.
This doesn't even take into consideration that social/economic stife has kept Brazil from becoming a global power.. However, everyone know that Brazil is the place to go and get kidnapped, tortured or killed.. I can't help but wonder how the drug trade has helped this "stimulous" along???
Still.. nobody here wants to be you..

你真的那么笨吗????

Look it this way, without the hard work of the Chinese people, America would be broke long time ago, the only item the US is exporting now is IOU and this will be for a long haul. South America is going slowly socialist, sick and tired being screwed and robed down by the gringos told what to do and continuously interfering (remember Chile) with legally elected governments. It is truth too , Brazil is a whore house (sorry heron) and in the mean time CIA deals on drugs to buy weapons, this is not a perfect world…

You guys got it wrong!
I have been saying for some time now, they are milking you in benefit goes some place else. It pisses me off.
Even if the progress here is good, this way too fast and something is wrong here.
I have two countries, by choice, not emotionally attached to none that it blinds me.
Read again if you did not get it. and then go to the history lessons I have posted here.
I am not the fool, you are!
And yes, it is a whore house and I am not getting none! :(
I gave you the numbers on violence from down here, what is new?
But ask those that came down for visit or work what they think.
My moment in the sun happened in both countries I lived, I am used to brush elbows with the best.
From little Pongai to the NASA tent and Larry Neal plus Jay CArter, it does not get any better than this.
No need for anal retention.
I rather see that money staying there for you to get back to better times.
Stop snorting and we stop sending, there is a demand you know?
News flash: Brazil was colonized and grew over three drugs, guess who for?

Ther reason why it is lonely at the top (where the US is) is because everyone else is jealous and gunning for you. It has been that way since WW2. Any time anyone gets a chance to twist some statistic to make the US look bad they are going to jump all over it. It is all "sour grapes". One way to make yourself look better is to tear down others. That is what other countries try to do to the US.....ineffectively.

<I spit in their general direction.>

There is never any hatred towards US people, is the government and its policies that makes you guys look bad. Do we have hope now..?

And that the cars called Flex are built by General motors. Makes me wonder what we/I am doin wrong.

Brazil could overtake South Korea as producer of cars this year, car sales in Brazil rose to 17.2% while for the same time (March) in the US declined to 37 percent plunge. No 1 car sales is the Fiat, VW, and lastly GM and Ford. Growing too much sugar cane for fuel is a wrong decision, creates only more environmental problems, they should grow food. Flex cars means they take a combination of fuels and by law all cars must be flex in Brazil.

I send a little project to seven cities in my area. It shows them the importance to limit sugar cane plantations and go grain for biodiesel.
Grain will create more jobs and the mini plants will keep the money here. Large alchool distilleries will carry the money away, the owners don[t live here.
Fruit is on the rise, avocados and orange (big time) they also create jobs.
Sugar cane harvest went mechanical last year, a couple of drivers will do it, the migrants are gone and so the money they use to spend in town.
The car thing in Brazil is amazing, it goes up while the rest of the world goes down.
The Campinas area shows a 17% business raise in the year 2008, nothing like in the world.
My ínitial post shows how the charts are been manipulated by some entity, maybe 3 years back I told here that it was not possible Brazil been in the last bottom position with only 3 African nations behind it as investment risk.
Someone did not want competition here.
Now we appear as a miracle, lending money and third in line to collect from USA. What happened with all the money sent this way in a recent past?
Let me fetch some video for you guys to see what the country looks like here in my area.

Hmmm. People need to fact check. Some listings put the US fourth behind Russia, Canada, and then China with Brazil fifth. Others put the US third ahead of China, but Brazil is still fifth. In fact, all the references I check, no matter how "area" was defined, put the US ahead of Brazil. Sometimes they were third and fourth, sometimes they were fourth and fifth, sometimes they were third and fifth, but Brazil was always after the US.

I just returned from a two week trip to China. Our tour guide stated that China was behind the U.S. in area. Figure he should know.

By the way the trip was great.........

This is a bad comment, of course you are an American and you should be (bom-bom.. se llamaba) proud southerner, but you dint make a mistake, it was your government that made you all look like sitting ducks. But…hey man, smashing someone face for an opinion is very un-American not forgetting that America is strong thanks for all immigrants building towards what today is USA. Don’t think for a moment meow-cat Heron intended to offend anyone , just stating the facts sometimes hurts…

I told here already, I don't like what they are doing to you.
My other contry Brazil never needed any help, unless this was created to be like that.
It is all a big squeem, this 9-11 thing and the wars.
Money is been taken from you and will end up here in Brazil, it is already happening.
They merged two banks here to form the `17th largest bank in the world, not because we need it, it is to acommodate that kind of money.
I can say anything I want about America and the USA, I am an american and lived 18 years in the US with good results and citizenship, even if they never gave me full rights.
So, about kicking my ass, think again. It will not be easy but I will let you have a shot.
This friday we had another tuff game in Bauru, I was on the stands when my coleagues made a mistake and a great spectacle of basketball went sour.
Hell brakes loose and I went in to action, now this is one agains dozens, not man to man combat.
Pics are in the morning paper, this olde carcass here holding fans abay to save refs butt.
I am used to close contact and lots of fists in the wall.
I don't like what they are doing to US, specially because it has been done by people that used and profited from it.
Brazil is doing good and did not rose to the ranks slowly, it was held down by interests and now it is way up from where it was supposed to be, by the same people.
Just want you to know, rednecks and gentiles! :D
It is not what it seems, hands are deep in to it.
