FWIW, I have both the iFly 740 and I have Foreflight and iFly on my iphone. (Also have an iPad which I put on a leg board on longer trips.) And then I have the Dynon as well. I find that I mix them up depending what info I want. But then I am a little bit of a tech toy nerd.
Nevertheless I use the iFly 740 the most for day to day flying, as I find it a little easier to use than Foreflight in the open cockpit especially if it's a little bumpy. Buttons and tabs etc are larger on iFly. So if I was to choose one, it would probably be iFly for open cockpit VFR use.
