I have a Bensen B8-M with no Horizontal Stabilizer can you guys post a link
to the one you think is the best. I have found one on little wings site any others?

or I would buy a full tail if the price is good something that can be installed moderately easily
I got skills and tools and some cash :)

Jake could make you something nice Frank along with an easy way to mount it.

Erines tall tail is also available from RFD. It puts the HS in the center of the prop stream.

Belair,

The "Ron Herron" tail you mention, and the Ernie's RFD tail seem to be two of the most mentioned options when this question comes up. Both are incredibly light, but strong. Everyone seems to agree that lighter is better in gyro design. The RFD tail is readily available for order. Ron Herron does not produce his tail anymore, but you can coax him to send plans for a very nominal cost, then build or have it built.

In case you haven't seen them already here are a few threads on this topic:

And there are a lot more where those came from!

The last thread mentions what I believe would be the least expensive and fastest way to get flying WITH HS... just adding some horizontals onto the existing Bensen tail.

Let us know what you end up deciding on.

Mark

Ok I looked at all that and could probably make one.

can i make one out of a sheet of aluminium? I have some light strong alu sheet from my stock car racing days?

look easy enough for me.

I looked and I looked and finally found it.

I made my own from a sheet of 2024 1/8in. 36 wide and 18 length works great!!
