Hi All,

I'm looking to purchase a Westach Dual Tachometer that is used in the older Rotorway Exec's, model P/N 3DA5-TC129P or 3DA5-DT138P or 3DA5-TC187-1P. If not this model, I would also take another of the model that was used in the Mini-500, P/N 3DA5-TC112LP. If anyone has any of these available for sale, or other model available that looks the same, let me know, I'm in the market to buy.

I'm looking to experiment to transplant the 3-wire hall effect sensor rotor RPM side of the instrument I buy to the engine RPM side of another tacho, as I am not able to use the existing Ducati-style input for my application. I just cannot get the Ducati style input the be properly triggered by my existing outputs.

I have a 3DC5-128 that came out of a 145 Scorpion I had. When I switched the ignition from the mag to a points system it blew out the engine side of the gauge. Rotor tack still works fine. Any interest?

Hi Barney, great to hear from you again.

Could you send me a pic of the unit, front and back? Do you recall if the rotor tach side transducer had 2 or 3 wires? If you have a circuit of how it was interconnected we can also figure out from that.

Standing by for some pics, thanks.

Cheers, F.

Hi Georgi, have been speaking to Pete Cornelius at Westach for a while. They do not provide a similar style dual tacho anymore, and no longer can support the old Rotorway or Revolution instruments. Even the current single tacho instruments, they only do points or mag inputs, not a hall-effect gear tooth input version.

Thanks for responding.

Cheers, Francois.

The back of the unit is the same as yours except for the way it mounts to the panel. I never opened it up so can't say how its wired. Hope this helps.
