Looking for a set of 28’ dragon wings for my Littlewing LW-5. Would also be interested in other blades with similar disk area if they can be adapted to work with the RFD rotorhead.
Check with Dennis about a longer hub bar, shouldn't be an issue if the blades can take it.....I might still go that route but concerned performance will suffer at heavier weights.
What engine and prop size are you planning on ?I might still go that route but concerned performance will suffer at heavier weights.
All up weight ~1100 pounds. Mostly flying at sea level between 65-90* F.What is your all-up weight? Field elevation? Temp? (DA)
Others are correct, the longest we currently offer in the 7" chord is 27'.
Since our hub bars have the coning angle machined in (not bent), it would be quite an effort to set up to make a single 4' hub bar.
I would worry about torsional stiffness.
In the future, we will probably start offering 8.5" and then we will have a solution for you.
However, I can't promise any firm date as to when that will happen.
When that does happen, I will probably reduce our max offering of the 7" to 26' because of this very reason.
Several sets of 27' being flown now with good reports, but more disk solidity would be the proper way.

I have a rotax 912uls with a 3 blade 65in sensenich prop. What engine and prop size are you planning on ?
That is beyond anything I have. Sorry I don't have a solution for you.All up weight ~1100 pounds. Mostly flying at sea level between 65-90* F.

Yes, I purchased it from Brad Hawley who is also on the forum. I’ve been working on converting it from Yamaha power to a rotax 912 and changing a few other little things.Richard,
Do you have photos of your Little Wing?

I have a set of 29 foot Rotordynes for sale. They have about 2 hours flight time. The set has an adjustable hub bar so you don’t have to shim to get smoothness. I have another set of blades too but I’m using those. $ 2700Looking for a set of 28’ dragon wings for my Littlewing LW-5.
