Two Place Mosquito

I agree with Bryan on all accounts. The "swift" needs a simple Lycoming engine for proven reliability as well.

The Swift (two-place Mosquito) will be at Oshkosh. The booth is in the ultralight area just up the hill from the Tall Pines Resturant

70 grand for a good helio? possibly doable??? 100 no matter how good, it just is hard to reach, because we all know the a kit price is not the finished flying price. Talked to some of the guys I still knew at RW a few years back, when the RW hit 100 grand and told them in my opinion that was just to much for us worker/builder type guys, reply was " we're dealing with a different cli-in-tell now", I figured if I couldn't spell that correctly, I wasn't in that group.
Maybe, it's because more dollars are being taken away by various things, just seems harder to justify or afford toys over 100 grand. Still like the new things, just hope there is enough builders out there to support the companies!!

I'm really interested in learning the literally thousands of details that are within the frame of this picture.

Engine Choice

Engine Choice

I suspect this is a fuel injected Lycoming 360 clone and probably with modern electronic ignition and FADEC.

I'd say that's a great choice up to say...1700# max weight.

Interestingly they chose to not mount it vertically.

Interestingly they chose to not mount it vertically.

A VIO-360 like my Brantly had , created several "issues" that complicated the engine.

The Enstrom and Hughes 300 had it like the Mos-2 ...the easy way.

MW Engines was at Oshkosh last year, very interesting people that are passionate about engines. Always lots to see at OSH.
