The dashboard panel is what we see most during flight. Yes, we love the beautiful lines of a well designed machine, and we enjoy the comfortable seats, but our eyes are locked on that panel for most of the flight...
So, it is important for that panel to be beautifully constructed and highly functional at the same time. The individual instruments, themselves, would contribute greatly to the beauty and functionality, but their positioning is a big part of the design as well.
