I should have taken a picture of it when I was there today.
The tank was finished last semester by SDSU students.
This year's team is working on the mounting attachment points.
We can weld them to the all-aluminum tank. Or we can glue them to the tank.
You need to take into account that this is designed as a kit project and RAF's are not built on factory assembly line tolerances.
I told them it needs to be fitted to each individual ride as the gaps may be different on all of them by 1/8" or more is my speculation.
I have no real experience so if you believe we could weld the support brackets on for them and they would all fit we will do that.
My solution is to have them fit it and mark the outline on the tank of each bracket. Then take it out and weld or glue it so it fits their ride exactly. Hents the need for an adhesive in the kit.
To the pro's is there a better way?

- The questions they ask are what aviation adhesive would be best to use on aluminum to aluminum considering our cabin hop and vibration resident frequencies.
- I've told them we can call the manufacture and their procedures once we know the glue and then research the cost and any special equipment they would have to buy or PRA mail to them.
