Eric: I have 17 hrs. of dual instruction in the SC tandem. What engine did you put on it?

Or, is it still have the Subaru 2.5 one? Heard the engine computer was screwed up & SC didn't want to mess w/ it any further.

Jim Vanek told me that he could have sold that tandem 100X over. He had that many people offering to buy it over the years. Sounds like a light bulb event!💡

I have 3 hours training with Jim,

Unusual attitude recovery was a lot of fun.

I would bet that Sport Copter could sell 100 of those.

If you can say that, you are able to not be scared of flying w/in a gyro's envelope, Mr. B.
I well remember how that teaching moment went for me from Jim V....!
It was far in excess of what stall/spin training in a Champ (that I asked for) was like.

The Subaru 2.5 was removed, overhauled to new specs and reinstalled, then I converted it over to SDS ECU/EFI. Of course, it took over a year to complete what I wrote in that 1 sentence! The 2.5 also has a cam grind, so probably around 180hp. It's a beast and it roars at full power.

I remember telling Trenna years ago that I wanted to buy one of their tandems if it ever went into production.

I still can't believe it's mine!
