Doing a 300 hour service on a xenon we decided to clean it up a bit, regarding the 25 hour blade inspection does anyone else remove it at 25 hours ? This is the second time in a few months I have done this and it’s showing no signs of cracks and it’s a real pain?

Hi Greg, in SA you will remember that Xenon owners were forced into a compulsory blade inspection at 2 occasions because a MT somewhere had done fancy stunts which stressed its blades and developed cracks. As we have also aluminium blades, a lot of local pilots jumped on the opportunity to criticise alu blades because they fly fiberglass ones. In both cases I had mine X-Rayed and they were fine. If the Xenon is flown in its normal flight envelope, I don't see any reason to inspect more frequently than 50 hours. I grease on the nipple every 25 hours.
