The owner of the airport I keep my gyro at is getting on in years and is trying to downsize the amount of grass cutting and upkeep he has to do. He is trying to sell the north/south sod runway and acreage (total acreage including the runway is 28) for $295,000.00 There are no buildings but you would have the right-of-way to east/west runway. There is plenty of room for homes to be built next to the runway!

The owner has two hangars and his home on the other part of the property that is not for sale (not yet anyway). He owns a C172 that is also for sale. He would like to have someone purchase the Cessna and work out a deal so he could fly it a few times a month.

I wish I had the money to purchase the airport myself!

I wish it was in my area. I know a similar situation close to Wauchula (with a house, small hangar and barn. But the guy wants 1,000,000.00 for it.

Rick, is that place you know about the place Dominators are born? I know Ernie is itching to move to Alaska or somewhere quiet....

I think Ernie wants to live somewhere where the nearest neighbor is in another county.

How about Pakistan between the seven devils and the deep blue sea.
Dominator's out here would be nice, High altitude flying.
A trip around K-2 the second highest mountain in the world would be great.
We can find good sponsors.....$$$$.
You guys can second me for an idea to Mr Ernie......

I do believe he has lowered his price to $200,000.00 He is not getting any younger and really needs to sell it.

Makes the Mentone airport look like a real deal. For half the money we got twice the acreage, a paved runway and T-hangars too
