I have been mistreated and admonished for sticking up for myself for the last time.
After 16 years here, I am suddenly the target for the personal whims of a moderator and his ill- informed minions.
I had hoped to leave my account open at one time because there was some seriously useful information about my and Doug's crashes that noobs could learn from.
However, I am not anyones punching bag.
I have had arguments with about 3 whole people in 16 years and was rated a Super Member for what ever thats worth.
So much has gone on behind the walls of PMs and openly that although some of you will be my brothers for life, it won't be here on this forum.
You guys know how to reach me if you need to.

I think that when a quality member like BEN S feels run off, then it points to an issue of unnecessary over-moderating. As far as I can tell, his comments on FEMA in Guam did not cause any contention (i.e., the spirit of the prohibition, vs. the letter of it).

Ben and I are politically on opposite sides of the wall on a lot of issues, I don't recall anything Ben posted that would be construed as political, maybe I missed something? whatever, it's his loss if he leaves!

Ben, with all your intelligence (and a great sense of humor) you puzzled me this time. You shared with us ( Thank you very much for that) your personal disastrous experience. And then, when the righteous person of all times (my definition of Vance) removed your post, you asked him, who is nothing , but just another member of this Forum, to tell you what to do? To stay here or leave? Why? You do whatever you want: stay, leave, come back in whatever order you like. There are many "human bureaucrats” (or "paper souls”) around us and share with them your feelings and wait for their response is, probably, a wrong things to do. Will a “romantic" novel with name “In my opinion life has a value” attract your reading desire? I wonder too. Those people are different. Laws and regulations mostly feed their existence somehow. Every moment they mentally write a book of their own “legacy” (even if they stand in a manhole, covered by waist with shit).
Then Ben started getting many "you’re not right”posts from members, whom I called “Cheerleaders”. Most of those guys I like and respect and I understand they are trying to bring a peace (so now I call them “Peaceniks” instead). But, somehow, they see only Ben as a" imperfect half of the conflict“. They just want peace and friendship for everybody (and forget about the contribution of so perfect "other half" - Vance). Unfortunately, that warm, fuzzy and loving (one way) atmosphere is also can be a very good ground for some sick creatures.

Do I want Vance out of FORUM - Hell ,NO! He (with his “special, natural" abilities) is an invaluable source of tons of Laws and Regulations
Do I want him out of MODERATOR - Hell, YES…….But not before we can find a willing human being for replacement. For Kevin Richey alone, who is doing (from all accounts a great job) it would be just too, too much.
Don’t forget, that It was US - the members of the Forum, who "stuck the whistle” in Vance mouth, because nobody else wanted (or knew) it! Hence..
But the HOPE is already here (like DarDow101 mentioned): ChatGPT or a few other AI apps (Prepare $$$) and we would be free for ever and ever from the abuse! Glory!

Vance I remember meeting you years ago when I was with Tom Milton at Bensen Days. You were just getting started in Gyros. I admire you for all you have done and the path you have taken to CFI. But I believe you made a mistake on Bens posting.

Mike, This Rotary Forum (members only) is a very unique one, considering enormous theoretical and practical data it possesses , pertaining to gyros and gyro people (alive and gone). So, there is not many other sand boxes, where you can play gyros otherwise.
