'Race for the Yankee Zephyr' a pretty good New Zealand movie from 1981... had Ken Wahl, Donald Pleasance, Leslie Anne Warren, George Peppard as a poofy 'english' bad guy :painkiller:

Pretty good movie (for the 80's).... Ken Wahl flys around in a Schweitzer 300 usually chased by a Jet Ranger.... jet boat chases.... worth a look just to catch George Peppards terrible 'english' accent BBwwwaaaaahahahahaa;)

Wasn't it 'true lies' when Arnie got to drive a Harrier jump jet in a city?

I am sure MacGyver wouldn't have needed McCutcheons in his bag, he would have just whittled some rotors out of the nearest tree, covered them with duct tape in only about 5 minutes?;)

Actually, MacGuyver did make an ultralight like a thruster in one episode, on floats too :hippie:

watched the start of deadly encounters. You know it going to be good movie when they start the chopper in the hanger and fly it out where the local kids are playing out the front, then fly right over them at head height, then before he leaves uses the skid to kick a can into a bucket held by the kids then leaves by doing a whole bunch of 360s over the apron where there are commercial passenger aircraft, mechanics and refuellers.

And then there is the line to the beautiful blonde wanting to jump his bones again "you have had your fair share of me, maybe more than your share". To have such discipline

All in a days work back then, how good would the 1970s have been!

Of course there is always that 'twilight' movie where Vic Morrow and the 2 little kids were sadly killed by the Huey whilst filming.... have seen it on youtube somewhere....
