Somewhere I posted some video of my rotor head in flight. Someone asked to see stick free video. It was on a rough trip yesterday, and you will see that when I touch the stick I "wobble" it. At the moment the Raf control system has a lot of wear and I have not fitted the mod that I do to the lower control pitch pivot points.
The "wobble" was to show that the stick could flap about if it so desired.
You can see by the ignition key ring re shake, and the movement of the cab in relation to the ground that the day was quite rough. Next time I will cheat and fly no hands when it is smoother.
I have a 150lb drum of concrete in the passenger seat to work the rotors harder than solo.
These are Oz alloy extruded blades but are not as pitch stable as the Raf blades which are not as pitch stable as a true 8H12 blade balanced at the 25% mark.
I just don't have a set of those to fly at the moment and I sure am missing them.
