Arrived at 10:00AM several people were already hard at work.
Electrical connections to fuse box with 100's of feet of wire being laid out, holes being dug and posts installed, the shower system is completed, low hanging branches on the Big Oak tree(No yellow ribbon around it, opps..showing my age) were being pruned by MJ. Grass was being mowed and large Besen days signs were installed at major intersections. All this and more was being meticulously orchestrated by MJ and "Catfish".
Lunch was fun-we all car pooled together and headed into town for a delicious lunch.
Headed back to the airport and finished up a few odds and ends.
Then we kicked into a great day with exchanging stories with each other sitting under the shade of that grand Ol' Oak Tree, enjoying the nice breeze out of the intense Florida sun.
Some Highlights:
Rick Martin-Flying his new Gyrobee
Dave Seace: Taking my for a ride in his two seat Dominator and chasing a Hawk in a Spiral decent(way cool).
CatFish-Telling some great stories.
Overall a lot of work was done followed by some great times sitting around talking, flying and enjoying the day.
Bensen Days looks like its going to be another great gathering despite the 3 Hurricanes.
Thanks to Dick,Ernie,Dave,Norman,Rick,Greg,Pat,Julian and to all the other faces I couldn't place names to, especially to MJ and Rich "Of the Sunshine State Rotor Club" for year after year continuing to coordinate things making this a great event.
PS:Anyone that can contact the media i.e, news, newspapers, etc. to cover BD, Please feel free to do so.

Thanks for the write up John. It was good to put a face to your name after all this time. And just a reminder to all, dont forget to bring your guitars, drums, banjos, fiddles, spoons, harmonicas, etc. Let's jam!

I was wondering what I could bring, since I have no musical talents.....

Yes Bensen Days looks to be a Grand Time Indeed!

Work went well and was done in a hurry this year. THANK YOU ALL.
MJ :)

Mary Jane has had serious medical problems, including major surgery, and is not her usual fat & sassy self. Well, maybe still sassy but definitely not fat.

I urge those attending Bensen Days to go easy on her and limit their requests. If you need something, ask someone else. Even people in prime health serving as greeters and gofers get worn to a frazzle.

Thank you Chuck for thinking of M.J. She needs all the help that she can get.Love that kid.
Bud

I need to add that if anyone has an irresistible urge to bitch about something, bitch at Catfish. He can handle it.
