I have a Competition 4 bladed fixed pitch propeller for my 447. I have replaced it, but was wondering if they have a replacement time (other than nicks and breaks). The prop on my gyro is dated 1985. I am not using it but am just wondering if it is still safe to use.

Shawn, the best thing to do is contact the manufacturer. Wood props are the only ones I know of that don't have a time/life. I don't believe the time/life restitions have ever been lifted on composites, but they have had some extensions.
Also, check out the "Wings channel going away" thread and your private messages! Let's gititon and git-r-dun.

If you do replace it. spend a little extra money & buy an IVO. I had 2 Ultra props on my 447 commander but I am really happy with my IVO.

Check the torque on the bolts that hold the prop to the hub every so often, because one time when I removed my ultra, all my bolts were bent from torque , I suppose.

Which pitch blocks do you have in your Ultra prop?

What is your max static RPM ?

Is your 447 a points engine?
