Not sure over 10,000+ logged FW, 260+ ultralights, sailplane, hang-gliders
I could never understand why anyone would want an electric prerotator.
Vance's machine is a good candidate for one because of the convenience.
Most single seat gyro's have gobs of horse power to convert to prerotation.
Electric has to be the heaviest system compared to most.
starter, solenoid, two batteries, soft start and all the wires.
I would hand prop before I'd use one.
Back in the day hand starting is how us Appalachian Americans did it.
You are a smart man!!!
PRA also sponsored a jump take-off project.
I asked for a state-of-the-art electric system to drive the rotor blades.
But that is not what they do. They did a research project on the cost, weight, and power of hydraulic, electric, and power take-off from the engine.
They proved in the scientific study of same that power take-off was the best solution!!

I have just made a small video on youtube, httpswww.youtube.comwatchv=RZbs5rTbmzE

I also added a reverse bias diode across the + and - on the circuit board to kill the self induction produced by the solenoid.
