PRA's '24 Mentone Convention in ANN segment

Aero News Network has a portion (05:20-6:03) of their 08-15-24 Airborne Affordable Flyers Update reporting on the convention just held @ PRA's Mentone airport.

I have been faithfully watching their reports for the Mentone 2024 segment. Must have dozed off and missed that one!

I was working the gate-shift on Wed morning when they stopped by & greeted them with the pre-arranged complementary wristbands- it was pretty quiet as mostly a set-up day for many and the newly resealed taxiway was just open for the first uses!

The first gyros up & about that day - scattered away from the airport - as a field of corn on the 36 end was being sprayed ...several of us got good footage of the spray plane working & turning over top of us!

I was supposed to be interviewed by Jim Campbell - but when I went looking for him he had left already - apparently called away by a family emergency!
