Hot-off the press from our latest monthly BOD Zoom meeting!

We are looking for ANY leads to foundations who give grants for any reason to 501(c)3 orgs.

We are drafting an appeal to go out to any number of $-donating orgs who may be able to help with the runway project.

Both pay down the loan and finish the rest!

With the close of camping-season and the income from campers using the Mentone facilities drying up for the season - we are looking for income flow -especially in the winter months!

Has anyone any experience with an online silent auction? I was in charge of doing physical bid-sheets & managing our local EAA chapter silent auction this year - a 10 hour view & bid window ...during our annual fly-in event last month! With some very nice aviation related items, general tools, gift certificates, gift baskets, memorabilia ...all donated ....we made $5000! Most items went for 50-70% of retail value ...so a bargain for the winning bidders!

Why could we not do something similar for PRA???

This was in my latest email from FAASafety.gov:
$2M+ in Grants to Modernize Airports

The FAA announced $1.9 billion for 519 grants in 48 states, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, in its fifth announcement under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). An additional $269 million was also announced in FY 2023 Supplemental Discretionary Grants to fund 62 projects at 56 U.S. airports. This competitive grant program under the AIP assists airport owners and operators in the development and improvement of our nation’s airport system.

Also being announced is a $2.9 million Military Airport Program (MAP) grant for Tipton Airport in Maryland. This grant will provide funds to the military airfield for the construction of a new terminal. The MAP program provides grants for converting former military airfields to public use, which adds system capacity and reduces congestion at existing airports experiencing significant delays.

You can view a data visualization of the airports receiving funding at www.faa.gov/bil/airport-infrastructure.
