I have heard that the "Bandit" filed bankruptcy.

Boy that seems to be a common theme with gyro manufacturers, I fly a Soma.

I went to their website and it seems that someone new owns it. He is near me so I might stop by. I liked Joe Souza a lot and I am sorry to see him step away from making gyroplanes. Thank you, Vance

Yes , I hate it for anyone in business to suffer a loss. It really shows us how lucky we are to still have manufactors as good as we have. I think of Ernie B as the Shelby of of gyros. He always seems to have a new ideal that keeps people guessing what will he come up with next.

Maxie Stopped building the MadMax gyros a few years ago, but I think he can still sell you plans to build your own.

Mike, that is kinda funny almost. I have heard people complain about the PRA mfg issue because it was missing kits/plans. The reason being is that the PRA only publishes kits that have actually been completed by someone and each year they only publish the mfg's info if they respond to a letter or call from the PRA magazine.

My understanding is if the mfg issue info is out of date that is because the mfg did not up date the PRA during it's yearly query.

I stand corrected on this year's PRA Manuf. Directory - it appears correct to the extent of the models currently there. There have been times in the past where I've called a "kit" manufacturer only to have them say we're not putting together kits any more. An example was Winner's Circle Engineering with that sexy high profile enclosed machine. The Austrailian Amax models were another, although I'm not sure if the PRA mag ever carried them.

I would think, if the mauf. does not respond to updates - you wouldn't include them. Aren't they paying the publications to be included anyway?

I know some have been left out for whatever reasons in the past - Star Bee for example. Aerocrafters is notoriously in deep lag wrt to current info.

Mike
