Hey I had no idea the chapters had their own threads. This was hidden at the bottom and collapsed. The last post was from Glen_K in July.

Just wanted to say it was great to make a meeting and meet all of you guys at last months meeting. Hope to see and hang with ya all again and soon.

Dragging the Air Command down to Mike in Spanish Fork Friday morning to do a hang test to see if I need forward cheek plates made, then will get the prerotator worked out and then will start lessons with Mike this spring.

Thanks to all for the all the advise and encouragement.

Mark

We are all headed out to the Hill AFB Museum this saturday 10am.

It was a nice gathering. We had our chapter mtg inside the museum. It was quite different to have all that aviation history as the backdrop.

Now That's a Helicopter!!!

Now That's a Helicopter!!!

Attached is a picture of one of the Helicopters they had on Display at the Museum. That's one incredible Rotorcraft! I wish we could get one of these to fly in at one of our events.

Nice - MH-53 replaced by the MV-22 Osprey.

Our local SOG now has six Opreys here in the UK - they had MH-53 previously too.

Even more interesting are the two Ospreys that flew over my house at 5pm today callsign REACH 1002 - these two are the first for export and are en route Israel - an Israeli Herc arrived in the UK today from the Med to escort them home tomorrow.

That's unusual call sign for them. I'm used hearing C-17s with that call sign but the Specops guys usually have something a bit more macho.
