It reads to me like you are asking for a place on the Rotary Wing Forum to post things that Todd doesn’t want on the Rotary Wing Forum.

I feel that is not going to work out.

I take the responsibility seriously and will endeavor to earn your trust.

The simple answer is if you want to insult someone or talk politics take it somewhere else.

No, you did not read it right. And that is why not you and not anybody else will judge anything for me. So, don't waste my time.
There are a lot of good things you do on this Forum. Well, continue doing them if you want and can. But I don't need any noses, covered with opinions like warts to decide for me anything. The creation of the "Deleted posts" thread will solve for me all those moments.

I want to thank Vance and Kevin for stepping up and taking on the moderation duties. I can tell you from experience, its a thankless job.

As they've both said, if you think for some reason, they've become heavy handed, shoot me a message but please take some time to look at all sides before doing so. I think in almost all instances, if you think about it objectively, you'll have to admit they were justified whether you agree or not.

Well, it starts like that: In "old times" we had a lot of knowledgeable people who shared with us their wisdom on this Forum. And we were very appreciative to them for that, but have never stood up and sang "Glory" every time their names were mentioned. Thank God, many of them are still with us now. Of course, everything is changing. New people - new "atmosphere". But I hope "WOKE" won't crawl in. Meanwhile, why not start ( for "wonderful yet suspicious" people like me) a new thread "Deleted posts"?
Abid, to get there, first you need to be a real clown. You are great at what you do now with gyros. So, hope you won't change your profession

I used to look at the forum daily, but got so sick of the personal attacks and unrelated politics, that I went months not looking at the forum.
The removal of a few members that lacked self control, has now made this forum a nice place again. It has lot of very valuable safety information in it, witch is what I want to see, not politics.
I admire Vance, and Kevin for their courage of becoming a moderator, it's largely a thankless task, but will make a very positive difference to this forum.

Well, forum members, it's been about one month since Vance & Kevin have been helping w/ forum moderation here on Todd's RWF.
So, in that time frame, we hear about only one removed post in that time.

Turns out it was from a forum member who certainly is controversial, & he rarely posts here anymore. He has been warned by Vance. Notice he wasn't banned for the slip-up on his part. Not even temporarily. I'd say that shows a forum that is far from being censor-happy. Maturity wins here over hot-heads.

I think that is wonderful news, that we've only had one problem post in that time. That tells me the rest of the forum membership is fairly civil toward others here!

In spite of people from around the world, from different countries & languages, most humans know what it takes to be courteous w/ one another. We want to learn. We want to hear what has worked best from others.

I say: Congratulations! We appear to have a forum that comprises the best of the modern internet age, where learning & sharing of rotorcraft knowledge has priority over anger & rage!

Todd “owns” this forum. He owns it just as surely as he owns his house, his business, his vacant lot, or his vehicle. It is his!

Todd doesn't charge us for use of “his” forum. Laws that require a business to be nondiscriminatory do not apply. There is no freedom of speech issue here.

Todd has established rules for participation in his forum. We can either follow his rules or not. If we choose to not follow the rules, we can go elsewhere. I believe it is disingenuous for any of us to complain that our rights are being abridged by censorship while defending “our” rights and ignoring the right of an owner to determine how he wants his property to be used.

I'm really grateful to Todd and his forum management crew, Vance and Kevin.

Not to rehash stuff over and over repetitively (Tyger) but I had a relativly innocuous post deleted by a moderator yesterday.
I did not feel my post was worthy of such ire and it was not a personal attack. I don't feel it was a political post, but rather was highlighting the wordplay in the post above it.
I merely mentioned the name of a politician and "Zappo!" It was vanished faster then my Jewish ancestors in 1942 Hungary.
Thats fine, Its a private forum and Mods are Gods and all.
But if we are now going ro be cancelled for sarcasm, cynicism or snideness I don't know what else to I will be able to ever say.
I suppose I could apologize to all the people whose feelings I have hurt with my post. I could just quote a famous actor here about all my tials and tribulations that led me to this terrible situation.
But I won't.
I could promise to never ever again be "cheeky" in my postings, but like the old man said "Son sincerity is the key, once you have that faked everything else is easy!"
So to recap, I am a target for being memory holed because I was born and raised in New York, a place where word play is considered an art form.
