parting out my gyro; good stuff for sale

Mike this is sad news. I hope you start up again soon.

Matt,

Here's a couple of pics of the rotorhead. The blue bracket is something I made to attach adjustable roll trim; it's easily removed if you want.

Wow!

Wow!

Hey Terry,

I work in Edmond at UCO. Edmond has really built up in the last 20 years; traffic really sucks.

Nice to find another okie.

When I left Hayward, CA to re-establish myself in Edmond, it was like moving to a different planet.

I operated a technology company there from 1982 to 1987, and contracted to maintain the Trane Sentinel, Facility Control system at the College - I think it was called Central State back then. I actually had contracts to maintain similar systems all over the state.

I was back there about four years ago, bought a van from the City on Ebay, and could barely find my way around for all the changes. Starbucks? In Edmond?

I was there for the Post Office massacre, a sad day from which the term, POSTAL, was coined; and helped set up the Hope Center (Help Our People of Edmond), an interfaith organization designed to bring a level of accountability to those seeking aid, requiring individuals to take the steps necessary to get their lives back on track as a condition of receiving aid in Edmond. I was also on the board of Citizens Concerned for Children, now Citizens Caring for Children, when it was Founded by George and Rose Harper, when child abuse awareness was increased in America under the leadership of Pastor Jerry Kirk and the National Coalition Against Pornography.

I grew a lot in Edmond. It was a real down-to-Earth place back then, with mighty, purposed people living there. People who took this broken man by the hand and helped him change his mind.

I'm half Arkansan Okie on my mother's side, and I sing in the choir.

I agree with ron you might wanna wait a week and see if you wanna sell it then! I can't count the experiences I'v had and thought of selling my plane!
unless you have alot of money, don't sell it! The more you fly the more your nerves get hardened and the more you enjoy it!

Update:

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement, and for buying my parts!

I talked to Glenn Bundy; he said he'll have to check with the PRA board about donating my fuselage to the museum.

Wtf

Wtf

We didn't even get to fly together! In my experience you will find nothing that can top the thrill and excitement of Gyro flying, you will be back!

Gary :flame:

Hey Gary,

I certainly hold open the possibility of coming back.
Right now I'm getting more into shooting and reloading; I always said I'd like to if I ever gave up flying.

Been There Done That

Been There Done That

Mike,

I used to shoot on the Arkansas State Rifle Team "Sharp Shooter" I was on a team of 4, if I wasn't shooting I was scoring and then we would switch and pull targets in the pits. We would shoot 200, 300 & 600 yards with open sights. One day I was sitting there in the hot sun looking at the blue sky wishing I was flying my Gyro, it was to much work for me ! See ya around !
