If you look at drawing g9-4 in the bee documentation, it looks like I'm going to have problems getting the an4 bolts through the seat support struts where they bolt to the bottom of the seat rails! :twitch: It looks like the an4 bolts will make contact with the an3 nut going through the seat just above it!

The only solution I can come up with is to grind one side of the head of the an4 bolt just enough to clear the an3 nut! Any solutions, ideas? will post photos later!

Can you use smaller bolts there? dia.

Socket Head Capscrew?

Socket Head Capscrew?

I don't exactly know how this bolt will be used, but a socket head capscrew could be used if clearance to the bolt head is needed.

Hey dog I got it worked out! I had to install the 2 an3 bolts from the bottom up so the head was on the bottom. It just barely did clear! :smokin: Look at the photo!

Now I gotta firgure out what to use for a light weight cushion!

I am glad you got it done.....Looking great! I bet you are looking FWD to the glassing part.......:humble:

You could have moved the damn bolt LOL I know I did. But that will do! Not a critical mod :) Doing good Jeff make me proud :)

Redbaron - Yeah, if you follow the plans, there's an interference condition which you don't realize until you go to assemble the parts. My solution was the same as yours, and one I think I found on the forum somewhere--reverse the bolt direction. And I had to eliminate the washer under the head, too, and it all just barely cleared.
