100 hp to lift 2000 lbs (projected)? Seems unlikely to me
Thanks for that ... but brings another question .... is one 912is to fly and one to drive ??? ... if so , we are still looking at 100hp at the prop which (to me) would not be enough. It's been known for a while the powerplant of choice is dual 912iS engines. The engine panel gave it away a long time ago. As time goes on, more questions than answers with the PalV and I'll continue to wish them the best. Very ambitious project.
Yep, would definitely have to count as a "motorcycle" in the US, not least for crash standards (i.e. about none). Just don't be putting any 100LL in it!
IMO it will remain a dreamThere is absolutely nothing new in either of those latest two articles. Notice they still haven't shown the "production" model flying...
The company said it already had lots of orders and [sales director] Mr Wall said they were being marketed at people who wanted something different, instead of another boat or supercar. "We've got a lot of guys who really have got the dream of flying and we say this is the fastest way to become a pilot." He said.
Ya, sure
