You can use 2, 12 amp 12v batteries.

Heat shield is what you actually need.

Insulate the battery or exhaust or both and wait till its time to change.

cover the exhsut with heat resitant straps. Pep boy sells them this reduce the emanating heat.

Will this heat shield or straps be effective on the ground? I suspect the heat is the biggest problem after I park for the day. Nice and hot.

I need a shorter battery at the least. The battery moved to the keel and the muffler is warping the top. Ideas?
Didn’t I mention this problem when you did this mod in another thread somewhere? :eek:hwell:
Get some exhaust or header wrap or a heat shield.
maybe remount your battery in a different location?

I would wrap the muffler with exhaust heat wrap. Then get rid of that lead weight and go to a Odyssey PC680 Place on its side. Or if you have some money a Braille Battery, Even lighter and more potent than an Odyssey, a few dollars more though.

Good luck
