As most of you may know I recently had lap Band surgery. I did this with one goal in mind to fly again. Most have never even seen me fly or let alone knew I had a machine. It has been 13 years since I flew my machine. Now that I have lost 95 lbs its time to get back in the air. Dad and I are rebuilding my machine because it sat in the side hangar and rotted away. Its on the gear and rolling around we should have the new 670 on before the weekend is done. I cant post pictures from my phone so Tim Chick had me email him some and he will post them here for me Thanks Tim. Well enjoy and I look forward to burning up the sky in my newly rebuilt machine.

The blue paint looks great. You work fast. When I saw it on Monday, 5 days ago, it was white. How is the tail coming?

Mike:
We're all proud of you.
A little known fact - I lost 125lbs of ugly fat about 6 years ago.
No lap band, though, she ran off with my best friend.
How long has he been my best friend?
About 6 years.

Looking great!

Looking great!

Looking great Mike! Congrats on shedding the 95# and getting 'er back together so quickly. The blue nosecone looks great... kinda' reminds me of David Holmes' 'Blue Angels' blue "Phoenix." :)

I'm excited to get your take on the 670 once you get some time with it. The power/weight ratio is very appealing and should turn out to be a screamer. Looking forward to seeing you fly 'er at BD `14!

Please keep the pictures flowing!

Since 1982 Gyro 5000+ mostly instructing, and approx. 200 fixed wing in the late 1960s.

Congrats Mike! It's always great to see someone with enough passion that they are willing to do whatever it takes to ghetto their goal.

Wow Mike,

The weight loss is awesome, building a gyro is fun when you know you will be flying her.

I am VERY Proud of your effort and you set a great example!!

The gyro looks great Mike. I'm pretty sure you're going to be thrilled with the engine.

Enjoyed our visit the other day. You really are sheddin' the pounds dude. I'm jealous.

You ought to spend some more time at the hangar with us. Campfire season is almost here.
