Things are pretty lean right now in Washington state. Todd Powell, who owns this forum, lives up the road from Richland in Spokane and has a Dominator, but I think he's it for a couple hundred miles in any direction.

Chapter 30 hasn't been meeting for a couple years, but Russ Hobbs here on the forum may still be in touch with the folks on the old Chapter 30 mailing list.

You may have to grow your own community locally. I think there was once a chapter in the tri-cities area, so there might be some gyro folks around. The nearest active PRA chapter now is 73, which is about 250 miles away in Scappoose, OR, but that's not much farther than Chapter 30's old meeting place in Auburn, WA, which would be just over 200 miles.

But you'll be only 8.5 hours from Rotors Over The Rockies in June, at Brigham City, UT. Plenty of gyros to see and fly with there. And bring Todd with you!

Eastern Washington state gyro guys

Eastern Washington state gyro guys

At the El Mirage event last month in California, there were a couple of gyro guys that used to work together at the local Alcoa aluminum plant., from Rock Island, Wa. One is here on the forum: "MarksBensen".

About 110 miles from Richland.

well i did my interview with my new boss and pending my release date here i will be moving to somewhere near the richland area. when i get settled in i would be glad to get involved with the chapter there.

i dont have a gyro yet but this job that i am going to will leave me in one place long enough to allow me the time to hopefully start my build in the spring!
