Highly modified RAF2000, EJ22 with 3blade IVO, CLT, horizontal stab, spring landing gear,
2nd generation RAF blades.

Only 3 hours airtime and 23 hours tach time.

Lots of custom features. Doors included. Trailer included.

Near Sebring Airport/Raceway (about 30 minutes from Bensen Days).

I am the builder but at 75 years old am ready to let go of this gyro at a good deal.

Make your best offer.

Ben,

Pretty gyro. What brand are your exhausts?

Thanks,
Eric

How much are you asking?
I am looking for offers around $20K . I lowered the keel and main gear by 12", extended the nose gear and made it castering so I could add independent heel brakes, widened the main gear to 7'while adding spring suspension, lowered the engine by 13", relocated the radiator and battery to above the engine, and replaced the muffler to straight stringers on each cylinder. These mods brought the vertical CG and prop thrust to within 1" and thus made this RAF PPO resistant and less prone to ground rollovers. It also made the horizontal stabilizer more effective due to less loading. All of this avoided the need for the heavier SparrowHawk mod so I could easily make Sport Pilot rules. Thanks for asking. I am a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer so I was able to accomplish this with confidence.

Nice job Ben : sounds and looks like a great machine for someone out there , I’m from cda and just verbally bought a raf here but not with your mods , I wish I was closer as would definitely give your’s consideration. However mine does have a horizontal stab and also I’ll be doing a Larry Boyer drop keel. Thx for the reply and I think it’s a good deal for someone interested

Very nice! If I was in the market I would be there tomorrow. I am enjoying Bensen Days this week. My SparrowHawk I is ready for AWI next month.

Larry Boyer will be in Wauchula on Saturday.
We have our daughter and son in law living in Houston and normally spent part of our winter in Texas , and I do know Ernie Boyette as I bought one of his single place machines. Unfortunately this winter due to travel restrictions we stayed home . I have never attended Wauchula Bensen days , but maybe next year. Gyrocoptering is a new bucket list thing for me , so in saying that I’m still in the process , but hope I don’t run out of time as I’m 71. Thx
