My advise is if your going helicopter please get the Ppl H done as part of the spend, Helicopters are very unforgiving and are more difficult to fly than any Fw or Gyroplane ( difficult is possibly not the word) challenging is better
Once you start playing with the collective and tail ( rudder input) you will see how that robs the power it’s best to get lessons in a Heli first before venturing out, a small home built Heli will kill you just as quickly as a MD 500 or Jetranger once your trained you will never regret it

Thanks Greg, I'm still undecided on about everything.

Well I'm now quiet sure and decisive that I'm not able to $$$ a helicopter. Will stay with my Sport Copter and Titan Tornado.
Thanks to all for your input.

Rather you be realistic than optimistic.
Optimism generates much more enthusiasm than does realism (not to mention pessimism), and it enables people to be resilient when confronting difficult situations or challenging goals. Companies have to promote optimism to keep employees motivated and focused. At the same time, though, they have to generate realistic forecasts, especially when large sums of money are at stake. There needs to be a balance between optimism and realism—between goals and forecasts. Aggressive goals can motivate the troops and improve the chances of success, but outside-view forecasts should be used to decide whether or not to make a commitment in the first place.

What I meant is I appreciate the honest up front realistic comments instead of false hope. Meant no disrespect.

No worries. I understood what you were saying. No disrespect detected. :)
I just thought that article was interesting, and apposite. I'm a big fan of Daniel Kahneman.
If you did not have optimism, you wouldn't be even thinking of a helicopter ("the goal"). But now you also have an "outside-view forecast". 😊
