Hello friends,

Here are some image files and short HD video clips from Mentone 2016. I did not take as many this year. It was great to see everyone! For the record I did plan on live streaming some of the action, but there is 'almost' zero signal at Mentone. Someday when the convention gets as big as Air Venture maybe ATT will truck in a mobile unit;)

Video (MP4 in HD - the preview online will NOT be in HD..lol, you will have to download the file. I was partially blinded by the sun while shooting so these are very short):

Also, I was talking to Greg Gremminger of Magni Gyro's about autorotation and he was interested in this podcast where Pete Gillies discusses his, "cyclic back" technique. The host hands the show off to Pete early and he talks for 40 minutes and I can tell you it is recommended listening:

Thanks for sharing. AR1 with Greg won the Grand Champion Gyroplane at Mentone. The attendance seemed lower than last few years here but it was still a good show with some serious leads at least for us. As usual the fireworks show was awesome.
We leave here tomorrow for Oshkosh.

Whats the story on the H-1 racer? was it for sale, did it fly? I read about it when it was first designed many years ago. pretty cool to see a pic of it today.

Animal - the Racer was for sale and was sold when I arrived on Thursday afternoon, the buyers started working on it right there! Sorry I do not have more details!

@Fara - Abid, your story is really a great one! Your serendipitous introduction to gyros and the wonderful engineering work you have done is a testament to your perservearance. I wish you much success - the decisions you have made thus far reflect your high moral character and I think that will mean great things in the future for the gyro community.

Tim- I always liked the look of your gyro....

Back in my hole!....
