Mentone Registration

A registration form is included in the latest PRA magazine. You will also need a P.A.S.S. card, gyroplane license or someone to vouch for your abilities.

I'll see you there :)

To add to Tom's post:

You get the P.A.S.S. card at Mentone. Just ask where to get it when you arrive. It is a permit to fly at the event and is issued only to pilots who can fly their gyro or helicopter safely.

G'Day Tom,
I'll be there at Mentone for the duration of the event. Aussie gyro certificate in hand, No gyro though. Guess I'll just have to watch.

Hi Ken,
Who and how do they determine if one fly's safely?

Cheers,

Mitch.

Mitch,

To get the PASS certificate you need to:

1. Have a gyro licence (few people have this).

2. Have someone vouch for you (most people do this). If you know some near you that is "known in the gyro community" or perhaps an officer of a PRA chapter near you could watch you fly and then write a letter stating that in his opinion you are a safe gyro pilot. Then send the letter to the PRA office and ask for the PASS certificate.

3. Make arrangements prior to the event to have a PRA representative watch you fly. Perhaps one morning early when there is no other traffic during the convention. Call the PRA office to make arrangements.

Thanks Ken,
I'll be watching you guys and enjoying doing so.
Cheers,
Mitch.

Mitch,

You will be watching them fly while you sit in the right seat of my machine.

Look forward to seeing you there mate.

Rob

Nice gesture. Continued good luck on your venture. ;) :D

Hey Rob,

Good on ya Mate! Be good to see you again Rob and fly with you. You've been clocking up some hrs and doing what we all wish we could. Thanks for sharing your experiences through you web page. Allan will be at Mentone for one maybe two days and at Oshkosh for the whole event.

Harry, nice Australian Mate.

Cheers,

Mitch.

Mitch,

It'll be great to see both you and Allan. I hope I can take him for some flying to return the favors he's done for me. One of my all time best flights was with Allan flying along the shore of Bribie Island in Oz.

Rob

Hey Rob,
Allan just back from LAX, talked briefly today, he's looking forward to catching up.
Cheers,
Mitch.
