Nice to finally meet you in person, even if very briefly as you got ready to fly.
Great effort on making the extremely long journey over from the West Coast which would have been a good 2,600 odd miles. It made Denis and I's trip down from Mankota look like a trip down town at only 1,500 odd miles. The road trip my son and I from LA to Detroit was more similar but that took three days and that was without towing a gyro!

I trailered it from CA... I would never trust the weather when traveling on schedule.
The gyro is very stable in the air. Once you trim it, you can fly stress free on a long cross-country flight.
It is an enclosed gyro, so you cannot use your body to gauge the wind, you must pay attention to the string on the nose and keep it fairly coordinated. The rudder pedals are not heavy, so occasional correction does not become a chore.
