My AR1 RRPM sensor is intermittently failing. I have inspected and wiggled all the connections while watching the LED for power/ground failures, and tried adjusting the distance between the sensor and the ring gear. It usually fails in flight, and generally comes back alive once landed or after hitting a few runway pavement cracks. I am considering mast-mounting a GoPro to watch the sensor LED during the in flight failures. Or mounting a newer handheld oscilloscope within the cockpit to monitor the signal line. All of these assume an intermittent wiring issue. It could be internal to the sensor.

Suggestions?

Obviously an intermittent wire connection or a cold solder joint in the signal or power or ground wire at the sensor.
Please send an e-mail and I will send a new sensor. Do not mount a Go Pro up there. Not worth it and better to change a $25 sensor
