Instrument question

I'm looking at 2 pieces of gear and wonder if anyone on the Forum has any experiences with either?

MGL ALT6 or 7 combined altimeter and VSI

Garmin Area 660 GPS/Plotter

I have the old black and white MGL ASI and the altimeter / VSI. I like them, but one day when I have nothing better to throw money at, I could see me going to the colour devices.

I have toyed with getting the UAvionix AV30 - https://uavionix.com/products/av-30/, a friend has one in his RV and it's an impressive (if expensive) unit that could do pretty much everything you'd ever want.

Was surprised that I did not get any response to my question. Bought an aera 660 and will post my response to use.
