Nice warm day to fly today, but windy and gusty....

I am still flying with barely needing to do anything to this machine. I have never owned anything close to flying over 50 hours per maintenance hour.

The Helicycle is very maintenance free. Glad to see you are burning some K-1!

Hey,

Also - look for my motor mount and gascolator screws in that field :)

Chuck- I could burn diesel, but never have. They don't recommend a steady diet of it as it burns dirtier. An occasion tank of it is ok.

I buy my kerosene from one supplier and add biobor to it. I keep my kerosene in 55 gallon drums with a hand crank pump.

U-Rock brother!

I enjoy your videos so much!!!

Thank for sharing the joy of flight Bro!

Biobor kills bacterial growth?

The drum is a good idea. I bought the XET and need to sort that stuff out.

Chuck- It kills algae. Believe me......algae about plugged my gascolator filter with blackish green algae. I should have known about biobor...but didn't until my fuel flow checks showed my fuel flow rate had dropped. That's when I discovered the algae in my filter. Havent seen a speck of algae since in 3 years.

Looking good Stan. I hope to do that in the not so distant future, but still got a lot of "checking out the machine" to do.

Kerosene and JetA smells so nice burning.

James- You are going at it right. Keep taking your time getting to know your Helicycle.

The accumulative list of any problems with the whole fleet way over 5000 hours is remarkably small.

My new batteries are enroute and I will change them out .

I have been reluctant to fly anywhere and shut it down. My batteries after over 300 turbine starts are loosing their power to spin it up to 22000 rpm.

Chuck- Is been from $3.75 to $4.00 a gallon. This fuel company supplies all the diesel for dads farms. I get a little discount.
