Hungarian gyrocopter

Very nice gyro, looking vaguely familiar :D.

Can you tell us a little more, like how it was built, engine etc.

Kai.

Pete he is my good friend Joe Mészáros and he built the sc himself. We talk a lot since gyros are becoming very popular in Europe and Hungary is a cheap and also lightly regulated airspace to fly in :)

Nice! Hungary is a beautiful country. I've driven across it twice and stayed in Budapest a couple of times.

I know that USA is far from Hungary, but maybe someone interested in what we're doing
Joe

Welcome Joe .... did you know there is a Hungarian building a gyro in Florida ?? (ChopperGabor) :):)

Thanks for the videos from your country. If you come across a Corvette Yellow RAF-2000 ser #H2-90-1-7 in Hungary , I painted it in Manitoba Canada around 1992. It arrived in your country still under Canadian registry C-FKEE.

That is all I know , and it is not very much. thanks again for the videos.

Szia Gabesz. Köszi az ismertetésemet. :)

Hi all!

Thank you the nice words.

Kai:here my blog how my gyro built: www.autogyroclub.com/joeblog2 (but hungary language pls use the google translator or ask ChopperGabor to help you)

David: if you come hungary again, call me before, then you can to try my gyro :)))))

Arnie: It's very intresting. Maybe this is the only one RAF-2000 wich is working (but not flying) in hungary. It bought my friend, then I have to repair and check it.
I know another three pieces, but they are terrible status. :(

I have new project. I'd like to build gyrocopter with subaru engine (EJ22).
This video from engine start, and balance.... (www.skycruiser.hu/subaru)

Thanks again to praise, and sorry my english.... :)

Have nice day!

Joe

Szia Joe!

Szia.

Már jól megnéztem, csak akkor még nem volt regisztrációm és nem tudtam beleírni. :)

Hello Joe,

the rotor head and many other components are not copies, they are original parts from autogyro-europe, right?
I see the differences though. Great work!

Kai.

Hi.

No original. Just a little copy, (similar, but different) I designed and drew it. I was thinking a lot of time the starter of prerotator, then I use coil and bendix. :)
We made all components...(wheels too....it made my friend)

Hi Joe, I think I saw your gyro in Fertöszentmiklós. It looks like a reliable and well thought out piece of work. I'd love to try it one day, if I get the opportunity.

Good luck with your Subary project, -- Chris.
