Looks great John, is that Gary from Iowa.

Will we see it at the convention in Mentone?

Yaw Mon, Gary is from Iowa and it looks good for him to be at Mentone. Garth will be bringing his Convertible too.

Hi, Todd so glad to have the forum back up U-ROCK.
Yes, both Gary's and Garth's are 582's.

What does it roughly cost . How many hours did it take?
This kit, if you have a Rotax, is only $19,188. for this model.
And only $26,910 for the two-place.
It's the engines that cost so much.

They sell for $24,640 with a Rotax 582.
And $35,451 with a Rotax 912UL

I could not attach an Excel file that is needed to set the currency exchange rate from Euros to dollars for our entire product line.
So I put it in a zip file that it would let me upload here

I'm not sure. I built my first quick build in two weeks. But I work a 20 hour day so. 20 hours x 14 days = 280 hours/ 8 hours a day = 35 days.

John, I thought Nicolas decided not to sell kits w/o engines. Did I get that wrong? So, you can buy a kit w/o the engine?
Also, I thought Nicolas had a line on less expensive rebuilt 9-series.
Thank you for the price update.

Yes, none of the alternative engines but one ever got finished being built. But if you have a Rotax or buy a used one and send him the serial number being register to you he will sell you a kit without a motor. With so many upgrading from 912's to 914's and 914' to +915's. There should be more used low time engines for sale for 10K to 15K for 912's and 15K to 25K for 914's.

Well, I have some exciting news. I can finally announce!!
We can sell a Rotax solution with 114HP Avioman G2 for $41K

I've been trying to talk Nicolas into creating a Yamaha G3 conversion as an option for the US market for over a year. It would reduce the cost by $24K.
He kept telling me to wait he had a Rotax solution but I did not know the price.

My latest attempt to convene Nicolas to creat a Yamaha yesterday brought this email response and the good news in we now have a $41K Rotax powered Aviomania G2's.

I can sell a G2sA with a top end OVERHAULED 912 oversized cylinder engine producing 114HP (real HP on the prop) which will outperform the same gyroplane with YAMAHA and will be more reliable for the 41K US$ delivered in a US port!!!!! And… I do not use cheap stainless steel frame cheap wires extruded rotors (with life limit) and everything that is used on our aircraft is aviation grade!!!!
So…….. why buy a HEAVY gyro with used Yamaha… when you can get a lighter, safer, better gyro with overhauled AIRCRAFT engine for the same price!!!!!
And then this.. our new pricing.
So prices for G2sA “Genesis Duo” with TOP END overhauled engines:
1. 114HP Rotax 912 (EDGE PERFORMANCE oversized pistons cylinders) : 41K US$ including sea freight to USA port
2. 100 HP Rotax 912 top end overhauled engine: 38.5K US$ including sea freight to USA port

To end overhauled means that pistons, rings are new, cylinder heads are overhauled, carbs are overhauled, and all seals, hoses, O-rings are new.
We can also in some occasions find used Rotax engines, and sell them with the gyro for 39-43K.
Here is a picture of Joe's with a Viking Engine.

I know she looks bad to the bone. She started out life with a new 582 and was built quickly.
Looks great but no longer CLT, the prop rotation is backward for the torque roll control actually now helping torque roll instead of reversing it, and way overpowered. it is a death trap for any low time pilot, as the HS needs to be so much larger for non-CLT often x 2 and for this one x 3 would be needed or larger. Not Barry or the experienced who have become the stabilization system. Most of them could take the HS off and no problem that is how automatic and responsive they have become.

John,
I asked about price because that link and some others on the Aviomania site go to code when you try them. Thanks for the info. Looked like he also had a more enclosed one person gyro, has he sold any of those ?

Too many to count
Actually....rotary gyro flies nicely....yes....lots of torque..__Not a beginners machine. As for the “ offset” of the horizontal.......not a bit of difference in the air! Rudder is plenty big enough too. Radial was mounted to produce center line thrust within the Center of Pressure. Landing gear was modified to handle more weight. Nicely designed machine......love Joe’s 2 place machine. Please don’t make comments about machines you have not seen or flown in person....just spreads false information.

Thank you for the update, Barry. You are an expert and you fly her. You are then correct too I shouldn't have commented, that is what Nicolas told me he was concerned about.

Hello Barry. as per your comment: "yes....lots of torque" this is because your tail is set up to AID the torque... NOT TO CANCEL SOME OF IT. if you change the tail as i have recommended then it will fly much better!!!!! with less torque and lees Yaw for you to have to deal with!!!!!

if at any time you go in reduced G's at half throttle and above (maybe a strong downdraft) it will torque over!!!!!! so..... Fly with care!!!!!
....OR.... just change the incidences on the tail and change the trim tab on the rudder as recommended and it will fly better!!!! you will not feel all that torque!!!!! it will be much less!!!!! and it will be safer!!!

Johns comment on not being CLT is not completely accurate. it is somewhat CLT even with the radial. It is just the torque that is aggravated!!!!! Just Fix the tail and you will see!!!!!

John's Gyroplane was standard minimum kit (no longer available). The prices he gave are for quick built kits..... Everything included!!!! See attached picture. It takes 2 to 4 weeks for an average person to assemble.

Also attached pictures of the enclosed and the 2 seat.

3 enclosed are in US.

Thank you for the all-included parts photo. A picture is worth a thousand words !
The price is very tempting. Excellent work, Nicolas!
I still want to see you develop "Revelation"... :)

Nicolas, my wife asked a question which I don't recall being posed to you before. Do you offer a 'builder assist' of any type at your manufacturing facility in Cypress? Maybe not a complete assembly because that would be more difficult to ship (I think), but maybe a partial assist?
Also, if one was to want to visit Cypress (your shop), what is the best season for doing so?
Thank you,
Brian
